| X Sync | Private X bookmarks and public X profile posts or articles |

Add a source
- Open Settings.
- Open Sources.
- Select Add source.
- Choose the source type.
- Enter the source details.
- Choose a backfill option.
- Select Add source.
See the source guides for specific setup:
Choose a backfill
Use Start from now when you need only future content. Use a date or item limit when you also need recent content.
Backfill runs once when you create the source. Later syncs save only new content.
Set default tags
Add default tags when every item from the source needs the same labels.
hacker-news, show-hnKeep adds these tags before automatic tagging runs.
Add smart tag rules
Add one rule per line. The text before the colon is the tag. The values after the colon are matches.
agents: ai agent, coding agent
repositories: url:github.comSee Tags and collections for the matching rules.
Choose content processing
Source settings can include:
- keep full content when available
- create an automatic summary
- add default tags
- apply smart tag rules
- group recent items into one Saved row
Full-content processing, transcription, AI summaries, and automatic tags are included with Personal. X profile subscriptions and private X bookmark sync are part of X Sync.
Group a busy source in Saved
Turn on Group in Saved for a source that publishes often. Keep groups recent items from that source into one expandable Saved row.
Grouping changes only the Saved display. Each item remains available to search, open, link to a note, or export.
Sync a source now
Open the source actions. Select Sync now. Keep shows queued, running, complete, or failed status.
A failed run shows an error and a Retry action. Do not start another run while one is queued or running.
Pause or resume a source
Pause a source to stop new syncs without deleting its settings. Resume it when you want automatic sync to continue.
Edit or remove a source
Edit a source to change its name, processing options, tags, rules, or rollup setting. An X profile also lets you choose posts, articles, or both.
Remove a source to stop future syncs. Existing items stay in your library.
Browse source content
Open Sources from the app navigation to browse capture channels and website domains. Select a source to filter Saved.
This page groups where items came from. Use Settings, then Sources, to manage automatic subscriptions.
