# A personal context library for everything worth keeping.

Some things you save are just for you. Recipes, references, half-formed ideas, pages worth coming back to. Keep holds them in one library that you, and your agents, can search whenever they matter again.

## Save it the moment you see it.

The useful thing shows up while you're doing something else. Keep catches it in a couple of seconds and files the organizing away for later, or never.

[**Save from anywhere**The extension, X sync, YouTube, feeds, and uploads all feed the same library as clean, searchable text.](https://keep.md/docs/capture)[**Write the thought down**A quick note holds the idea before it disappears, and links the page or video that sparked it.](https://keep.md/docs/notes)[**Find it by meaning**A vague memory is enough. Search understands what you meant, not just the words you used.](https://keep.md/docs/search)[**Ask an agent about it**Any connected agent can search your library too, so "what was that article about X?" gets a real answer.](https://keep.md/docs/agents)

02.

## A vague memory finds the exact thing.

You don't need the title, the tag, or the date. Describe what you half-remember and the library does the rest.

### What was that video about zone 2 training I saved?

- **Video:** Zone 2, explained · saved in May
- **Note:** Training plan
- **Highlight:** Threshold pacing

**Found it:**

The talk you saved in May. The transcript covers heart-rate zones at 14:32, and your note says to keep two easy runs a week.

Your training plan links the video as a source, so the advice and your take on it stay together.

Answered from 1 video and 1 note.

## The stuff that never fit a folder anyway.

A library beats a filing system when the categories only make sense to you. Save first, and let search sort it out.

[**Ideas and thoughts**Capture the half-formed idea now. Future you, or a future agent, can pick it up when it's ready.](https://keep.md/docs/notes)[**Links and pages**A link can be anything: an article, a video, a thread, a tool. Keep saves the content, so it stays useful.](https://keep.md/docs/capture)[**Videos worth keeping**Save a video with its full transcript and find the exact moment again months later.](https://keep.md/docs/youtube)[**Documents and files**PDFs, recipes, manuals, and reference documents become searchable instead of buried in downloads.](https://keep.md/docs/import)

## Questions about a personal library.

### Do I have to organize everything?

No. Search by meaning works across the whole library from day one. Tags, collections, and Projects exist if you enjoy organizing, and they're entirely optional if you don't.

### Is my library private?

Yes. Your library belongs to your account, and only the clients you connect can read it. Every connection is named, scoped, and revocable, and you can see exactly which client or agent touched a note.

### Can I get everything back out?

One command exports your whole library as plain markdown files. Stop paying and the folder is still yours.

## Stop losing the things worth keeping.
