Choose an `.epub` file from your device. 2. Select **Convert to Markdown**. 3. Review the chapter order and Markdown preview. 4. Copy the Markdown or download the `.md` file. ## Text and links kept from the EPUB An EPUB stores the book as a set of linked reading sections. The converter follows the reading order in the book and joins those sections into one Markdown document. The book title becomes the main heading, and chapter headings stay in their original order. Paragraphs, lists, emphasis, tables, code, and web links can stay in the result. Links between reading-order sections point to matching anchors in the Markdown. The result can keep image alt text. It does not include embedded image files. ## Private browser conversion The EPUB is opened and converted in your browser. It is not uploaded to Keep, and the result is not added to your Keep library. Browser conversion has no daily use limit. The converter does not remove DRM or other access controls. Protected, damaged, or unsupported books stop with an error. It also stops when a reading-order section is missing, so the result does not claim to be a complete book after silently dropping a chapter. ## When the result needs a manual check - Complex page layouts may become a simpler reading order. - Embedded fonts, audio, video, and image files are not added to the Markdown download. - Decorative title pages can produce short text sections. - Links to files outside the reading order cannot work in one standalone Markdown file.
