# About Keep

Keep turns useful material and working knowledge into Markdown that stays easy to find and use.

## A durable home for useful context

Keep saves web pages, files, email, videos, audio, highlights, and other source material as clean Markdown. You can read it later, organise it, search across it, or use it as context for new work. Notes give you a separate place for knowledge that you create, such as plans, decisions, preferences, research, and handoffs.

## Made for people and their agents

You stay in control of the library. You can use the web app, browser extension, REST API, or MCP server. Each connected client gets only the access that you approve. Open formats and complete exports help you keep your information useful outside Keep.

## Who makes Keep

Keep is an independent product made by Ian Nuttall. The aim is simple: save the context that matters, keep its source clear, and make it available when you or your tools need it.
